Chairman
Ian Good joined The Edrington Group in 1969, has been on the Edrington board since 1979 and chairman since 1994. He is also chairman of The Robertson Trust.
Ian Curle
Chief Executive
Ian Curle was appointed as chief executive of The Edrington Group in April, 2004, having joined the Group in 1986. He is a trustee of The Robertson Trust, chairman of The North British Distillery, and vice-chairman of The Scotch Whisky Association.
Richard Hunter
Group Finance Director
Richard Hunter has been Group finance director since 1994, having joined the Group in 1981. He is also responsible for information technology in the Group and is a trustee of The Robertson Trust. Elsewhere, Richard represents the Group on the board of Maxxium Worldwide BV and is chairman of its finance committee. Richard serves on the Council of CBI Scotland, is a member of the Court of the University of Strathclyde and a governor of the High School of Glasgow. He has recently joined the management committee of the Keepers of the Quaich.
Bill Farrar
Group Sales and Marketing Director
Bill Farrar joined the Group in 1989 and has held a number of positions within Matthew Gloag & Son and Highland Distillers. He was appointed to the Edrington board in October, 2003. He is chairman of Highland Distillers and The Macallan boards and a member of the board of Maxxium Worldwide BV. He is a Fellow of the Marketing Society of Scotland and school governor of Craigclowan School, Perth.
Graham Hutcheon
Group Operations Director
Graham Hutcheon joined the Group in 2000 as director of distillation. He was appointed Group operations director in October, 2003. He is a member of the operations committee of the Scotch Whisky Association, chairing the environment committee, and is director of both the Scotch Whisky Research Institute and The North British Distillery.
Trina Glen
Group Strategy Director
Trina Glen joined the main board on 1st May 2008, as Group strategy director. Trina joined the Group in 1994 and was heavily involved in Edrington’s acquisition of Highland Distillers. Recently, she has led the commercial team and overseen the successful development of the Group’s business in Europe, Asia and America. Trina is a chartered accountant and has been a member of the SWA international affairs committee and Maxxium’s operating committee.
Martin Cooke
Group Company Secretary
Martin Cooke, a lawyer by profession, joined the Group in 1988 and was appointed company secretary in 1997. He is a trustee of the Group's pension schemes and a director of Dunard Insurance (Isle of Man), the Group's own insurance company. He also chairs the Group's risk management committee and co-chairs the corporate social responsibility team.
Non-executive directors
Ronnie Bell
Non-Executive Director
Ronnie Bell was appointed a non-executive director of the Group in October, 2005. He is a former group vice president with Kraft Foods Inc. and spent his 30-year executive career at Kraft, retiring in 2004 after five years as president of Kraft Foods Europe. Ronnie is a non-executive director of Northern Foods Plc, chairman of Milk Link, a large farmer-owned dairy business and a director of Ansell, an international healthcare group.
Callum Barton
Non-Executive Director
Callum Barton, former president and CEO of Richemont North America, was appointed a non-executive director of the Group in April, 2007. Callum has over 30 years’ experience of the luxury goods business with the Richemont Group and during his career he was chief executive of Alfred Dunhill in London. Prior to that he held a number of senior management positions with Cartier in Paris and Piaget, Baume&Mercier in Geneva.
