Partnerships

One of the Group's most important long term partnerships is with the privately owned
Berry Bros. & Rudd Ltd.

Edrington has supplied Berry Bros & Rudd with blended whisky for its brand Cutty Sark Scotch whisky since 1936.

Then, in April 2010, Edrington purchased the Cutty Sark brand from BB&R.

Under the deal, BB&R acquired The Glenrothes single malt brand from Edrington, which has signed long-term supply agreements to provide whisky fillings and stocks to BB&R (though Edrington will retain ownership of The Glenrothes distillery). The Edrington sales-and-distribution alliance (Maxxium) will continue to distribute The Glenrothes in key international markets and is also expected to provide a distribution option for other brands within BB&R's super-premium spirits portfolio.

Both Edrington and BB&R will continue to work hand-in-hand on projects of mutual interest that aim to maximise shareholder value and support the long-term development of their brands.

North British

The Group is the joint owner of The North British Distillery Company Limited, Scotland's largest grain distillery. North British supplies grain whisky to the Group - and a large number of other companies in the Scotch whisky industry.

Edrington/Beam Global alliance

In April 2009, Edrington and Beam Global launched their new international sales and distribution alliance, which spans 24 markets. Designed to simplify routes-to-market, the partnership brings both companies closer to customers and consumers across the globe. Under the agreement, Edrington owns six businesses in the Nordics, Taiwan and South Korea. Edrington and Beam Global are each responsible for the strategy, marketing, innovation and new product development for their respective brands.
