Celebrating Brugal's 120th anniversary

To celebrate and commemorate the founding of Brugal in 1888, a limited edition of 600 bottles has been produced. This project has been led by a team at Maxxium Spain.

There are five different versions of the 120th anniversary bottling, specially designed in conjunction with five distinguished and well-known Spanish celebrities, including top model Laura Ponte; fashion designer Miguel Palacio; singer Natalia Jimenez; architect and interior designer Hector Ruiz; and actor Oscar Jaenada.

Each celebrity was tasked with designing a product which captures the essence of Brugal as well as celebrating their own personalities. Laura designed a pair of glamorous blue stilettos; Natalia produced a guitar painted in the red, white and blue colours of Brugal; Miguel created an eye-catching electric blue dress; Hector designed a stunning chaise-longue; and Oscar painted a piece of art based on the colours of Brugal´s shield, their designs are also reflected in the specially created packaging.

One hundred bottles have been delivered to the Club del Gourmet in the El Corte Ingles department store in Madrid, with several bottles also being distributed to 60 different outlets all over Spain.

A small selection of signed limited edition bottles will be auctioned on e-bay with the proceeds being donated to The Brugal Foundation, the non-profit organisation which focuses on helping Dominican people.
